Burc Sachprakash Gündogar

Founder & Professor

Sachprakash is the founder of Jiujitsudo & Kundalini Academy.
In 2008, he started his journey as a Mixed Martial Artist. In 2011 he started practicing various forms Yoga & Meditation to uplift and heal himself, understand the nature of his mind, and to cultivate a practical physique.

Sachprakash is able to bring you the best of the two worlds of discipline. That is the Jiujitsu practice with the focus on self-awareness, and the teachings of Kundalini Yoga including Kriya Yoga, Naad Yoga, Mantra Yoga, Pranayama, and Meditations to develop a home practice that will last a lifetime!

Samantha Macfarlane

Studio Manager & Kids Coach

Sammy teaches yoga, and coaches youth and adult jiujitsu fundamentals at Darruma. She began her Jiujitsu training in December 2021, drawn to the discipline by a lifelong love of movement, and a desire to build strength, discipline, and to practice consciously regulating her nervous system. 

Sammy has taught academics, art, and physical education locally since 2019, and teaches Alexander Technique lessons and workshops as a graduate of the Contemporary Alexander School.

Gian Hernandez

Adult & Kids Coach

Coach Gian embarked on his martial arts journey at the age of 14, cultivating a passion for combat sports that would shape his future. At 19, after years of dedicated training, he expanded his skill set into mixed martial arts (MMA), immersing himself in a diverse array of fighting techniques.

In 2015, Coach Gian found his true interest in Brazilian Jiujitsu, dedicating himself to the art with unwavering commitment. He achieved the rank of Purple Belt through the renowned 10th Planet jiujitsu system, a testament to his technical proficiency and deep understanding of the sport.

With a robust background in coaching, Coach Gian has honed his teaching skills at esteemed institutions such as Dark Haven Studio in Albuquerque and Brazilian Top Team in Puerto Rico. His experience spans from instructing fundamentals classes to guiding the next generation of martial artists in kid’s classes, demonstrating his versatility and passion for developing fighters of all ages.

Coach Gian continues to inspire and educate with a blend of technical expertise and a genuine love for jiujitsu, shaping the future of the sport one student at a time.

Aloha, I’m Cody Malie Guillermo, and I’m thrilled to be part of your journey. With 8 years of jiujitsu experience and 2 years of Muay Thai training, I bring a deep passion for martial arts, constantly refining my skills and helping others grow.

Born and raised on the Big Island of Hawaii, my connection to nature runs deep. In my free time, you’ll find me hiking and exploring the outdoors, finding balance between the discipline of martial arts and the serenity of the natural world.

I’m honored to share my experience and support you in your own journey toward growth.
